Effectiveness of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs)

The Center of Excellence in Anti-Money Laundering is pleased to announce an upcoming online training session on the topic: “Effectiveness of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs)”.

This session will explore the role and impact of effective Public-Private Partnerships in strengthening the fight against money laundering and related financial crimes. Participants will gain insights into the benefits, challenges, and best practices for fostering meaningful cooperation among government authorities, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders within the AML/CFT framework.

This training aims to promote awareness of the value of PPPs and to demonstrate their contribution to enhancing national and international AML effectiveness through collaboration, innovation, and shared responsibility.

During the session, experts from the Center of Excellence in Anti-Money Laundering, the World Economic Forum, and the Europol Financial Intelligence Public-Private Partnership (EFIPPP) will:

  • Share insights and practical experiences on successful models of collaboration between public and private sectors in combating financial crime.
  • Showcase the outcomes and impact of PPPs, such as effective information sharing and collaboration mechanisms, active engagement and commitment from private sector entities, leading to more comprehensive detection, stronger compliance, efficient use of resources, and ultimately contributing to the integrity of the global financial system.
  • Explain mutual understanding and trust – enhanced dialogue between public and private sectors fosters transparency and accountability, which is critical for the ongoing fight against financial crime efforts.
